CUT OUT WORLD HUNGER
1986 -1990

Cut Out World Hunger is by far my best work. In 1986 I created and coordinated an annual event where the mandate was to raise money for Developing Countries, specifically in Africa.  To date, with the help of C.I.D.A, the event has generated over $75,000.00 dollars that have gone to aid countries like Mozambique and Namibia...and also, to fund local agencies.  I am no longer able to continue this particular event, as other groups in the area have copied it, to the point of saturation.  This only makes me feel better about the event; I can't even imagine how much money was raised for other organizations, such as, The Children's Wish Foundation and The Women's Shelter, because of the initial one.

On Saturday November 27th, 2004, I shaved approximately 24 heads of hair, mostly women, who in an act of solidarity for their friend, Jane Almond, raised money by getting pledges, and holding a silent auction.  By the seat of their pants, amazingly, over $5,000.00 was raised that day.
